Hey there Campers;
Yep you know how the day started another sunny day. You know it is hot when the
air conditioner starts to go out. Lo got on top of the Hilton to check out why
only the fan was blowing but nothing cool. He found out the front air
conditioner compressor had burned out. Not to worry. My honey Lorenzo "
McGiver" fixed it. He just turned on the back air conditioner and put one
of our little fans on the floor to keep the Hilton cool. We will pick up a part
when we return to OK city. Eli was there to help his uncle off the ladder.
Barbie's sweet dog Sky (aka Crackles) decided to just watch.
Sarah is the
chief Wrangler for the camp. I got a chance to go ridding with her and some of
her crew (Marco, Marceil & Caleb) on the trails.
The evening program had the McFarland family
playing music. It was like sitting on your porch and the family grabbing their
instruments and playing from their hearts. It was very Appalachian country
style. Jamie Park played beautiful
melody of songs as special music. (It's so Sweet to Trust in Jesus, Give me
Jesus, Jesus Loves Me.)
Randy Roberts had another thought provoking sermon.
How Does God Reveal Himself? Psalms 19. This chapter really meant a lot to me
as it was one of the first chapters in the bible I learned in Pathfinders. The
last verse is very dear to me as it is the one my family still quotes today
when we have prayer with my dad. Even my friends had to learn it if they were
over my house at prayer time. Trust me when I say my friends know that they
still have to quote it when we pray. It is funny how things just stick with you.
Question of the Day
What does Psalm 19:14 say?
Well, until next time Campers
Lo & Bren
Yup - Poppa "P" always repeats it:
ReplyDeleteLet the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight oh Lord my strength and my redeemer.
Dr. Kimbleton Wiggins was in Soquel camp meeting way back in 1980 something and I remember he always repeated that verse when he prayed. That was where I remember it being repeated frequently.
Stay cool family. It's hot and humid in Cally too. Hot is bad enough without the humidity. Yikes!
On a horse and you didn't have your boots!? Oh, well.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you're having some fun. The OK Campmeeting is really much more like Family Camp, it seems.
May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart
ReplyDeletebe pleasing in your sight,
Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.
